USA/Canada Trip - Dec 2007 (Part 9)

从美国一路乘旅行车浩浩荡荡来到加拿大, 感觉到天气比美国冷多了, 第一站导游争取时间直接带我们到市区的一间由宫殿似私人大宅转变成博物馆的Meyer Mansion. 这间建筑物是由当时一位很富有又有地位和头衔的Sir Henry Pellatt 建的. 后来他失去财力, 无法维持这里的开销,只好漠然离开... 这里很多的家具和装潢保留原有的布置,让人可以欣赏并感受到当时上流人士的豪华气派生活和奢侈享受...

一进门, 可租用一个类似手机的录音机, 每到一个房间单位, 只要按单位的号码就可以听到个个单位的详细讲解,有多种语言供选择, 导游不须随行讲解, 很方便, 游客也可以自行活动,随意到处观看, 记得好奇的我们还尝试拾级爬上一个狭窄的旋螺梯级, 上到屋顶的阁楼, 了望当时来说算是从高望下的街景 ...

actually I have this slide done long time ago, saved as draft, but haven't found time to finalise and upload it.

Like what Joanne has commented before, having the photos here are also a form of record of travel events. I take it as a recollection of my travel diary, while posting the photos here, it also gives me a chance to reminisce the events.

In the meantime, I like to share with anyone who are interested to view the pictures and know more about the places of interest, whether they have been there or haven't got a chance to visit there yet.

too bad I don't have a lot of time to work on these, hence, can only do it at my own pace leisurely whenever I can spare the time.
