Durian Cream Puff

一直以来就很想要做cream puff了,不过一拖再拖,上个星期《我的厨房笔记》又复习这个食谱,刚好弟弟买了好多榴莲,看到材料都垂手可得,于是就即兴的决定尝试做来吃。我觉得做的puff不是很成功,不过整体的durian cream puff 的味道和口感还挺不错的! 希望下次会做得更好。。。

Durian cream puff 也是我的最爱。曾经做过,可是不成功。Puff 很硬,好像饼干。Margaret, 你很厉害勒。

the puff u have made are so much better than mine, mine outside looks nice hor, but inside a bit moist, any idea what is the likely cause huh, still haven't checked with Shifu yet...wonder is it overbeating after adding the eggs ... thanks

next time u make again, don't bake 没心肝的puff lah, try to fill with durian cream, I didn't add the durian essence (coz haven't bought yet) but it still tasted good.

谢谢你的赞赏,你太夸奖我了,这是我第一次尝试,还不是很理想,有待进步。你可以尝试用last week刚post的recipe再做多一次哦。我的puff不会硬得像饼干,不晓得是不是你的粉团或oven的温度出错了?我也还没有完全拿捏好,我们一起加油!

Margaret, ur durian puff look ok.If the inside is abit moist than try to bake it slightly longer.

Next time when u bake, remember to follow with the latest improvised recipe.

thanks for your advice. My stupid oven always giving me a headache, if the temperature too high the pat pat get burnt, next time I will lower the temperature & bake a bit longer. Auntie Irene told me u have successfuly baked this puff. Can I check with u whether we have to wait for the dough to be completely cool down before we add the egg, or is it ok if there's luke warm? Kamsia~

I think you have to wait till the dough to be cool completely before adding eggs, and the baking time is very important too. I’ve just baked another bath last night, very successful. :)
Haha.. being kaypo huh!

thanks for your advice, no lah u are not kaypo at all. So my guess was correct, apart from beside the oven temperature control, I didn't wait for dough to cool down completely b4 adding the eggs which might have resulted in the interior moist.
Hope others who wants to bake the puff can learn from it.

your durian puff looks good, i tried two times but the pastry didn't turned our good, still watery like cake mixture.

told aunty irene liao, follow what again but stupid me still fail lay haha. any advice. pastry wet and don't rise lor.

thanks for visiting my blog too. I just started my blog in July.

As mentioned above, my puff though looks ok on the outside, the interior also a bit moist, that's why I was consulting ShiJie Mary & Dorene, as auntie Irene told me that both of them have tried with the latest recipe successfully. You may like to try again & watch out for the few points like temperature control & wait for the dough to be completely cool down before whisking in the eggs. I'm also going to try it out again. hopefully we can do it right at the next attempt. 我们一起加油!
