甜咸香辣的周末美食

我的朋友Jasmine 打算为在4月5日生日的小儿子Ruihan 烘制一个生日蛋糕,用心良苦的她也想让颇有兴趣的儿子亲自体验整个制作过程,于是约好星期六下午来auntie Irene 家学习装饰蛋糕。


这就是他们要求做的Blueberry Black Forest Cake. 真是一个赏心悦目的生日蛋糕啊!相信Jasmine 和家人在享用这生日蛋糕时有着不一样的感动, 毕竟是自己和孩子亲自参与制做的蛋糕,肯定吃在口里,甜在心底...

由于Nicole 上个周末错过了品尝Echo 亲手制作的Crème brûlée, 这个周六auntie Irene 让她如愿以偿, 尝到这个美味可口的法式甜品。由于Auntie Irene 下午有教课, 所以我们只尝试做两道糕点, 没有准备晚餐,算是一个蛮轻松的星期六...

我们也做了 Cheese Soufflés. 不出我所料, Nicole 和我一样非常喜欢吃这cheese souffles. 如此美味的法式糕点, 独乐乐不如众乐乐, Auntie Irene 想到邀请住在附近的May 前来一起分享. 我们又再多做一份让May也能见识做法和品尝. 烘好后我们即时享用热呼呼的乳酪舒芙蕾, 感觉比light cheesecake 还light, 好妙喔!hmmm....吃了满口留香,超好吃! 再次谢谢Echo和auntie Irene的好介绍.

在此也要再次谢谢May当晚为我们解裹腹之忧, 为我们捎来香喷喷的炭烧鸡翅膀和香辣的otah!
瞧! 这次的舒芙蕾比之前做的发得更高噢,质感也更蓬松,可能是这回的蛋糊打得更菘发.我们还一度担心如果不及时从烤箱取出来,蛋糕会脱模而出呢!哈哈哈~~

星期六Auntie Irene 已告知会星期天将会是一个很忙碌的一天, 得专注烹煮四样菜肴,没有糕点制作.... 午后来到auntie Irene 家,看到Auntie Irene, Nicole 和L-5 已忙得焦头烂额, , 我也马上加入工作队伍,一起把所需的材料一一准备好,又摆设,又拍照,又烹煮,大家分工合作,各忙各的,忙得不亦乐呼...

这是auntie Irene 特地为汇集补腰精编写的食谱 - 中式金瓜浓汤的确是非常香浓美味和高营养和健康的一道汤, 值得推荐煮给一家大小享用.

另一道是汇集坐月食谱- 腰花肉丸面线汤,非常滋补美味,对产后妇女调理虚弱的身子尤其有益。 想学习这两道汇集食谱,就要留意四月份的厨房笔记时段咯!



这一道是传统的娘惹菜肴Ayam Buah Keluak,是我们通过Mabel 的blog 认识的.在此谢谢Mabel 的介绍和送给auntie Irene 的Buah Keluak, 我们才有这个口福尝到这一道与众不同味道和做法的菜肴。我们四位都是初次尝这黑得像火炭Buah Keluak, 很难具体形容它的味道.猪肉已腌到不像猪肉,Nicole 说味道苦苦的,auntie Irene 说像苦味的可可和古早的味道,我觉得有些像微苦的黑豆酱夹上另一层味道,L-5说无法形容...大致上味道还不错,auntie Irene 也吃到津津有味...嘻嘻...


最后一道是auntie Irene 循972听众的要求,为厨房笔记编写的tauhu goreng ,一道马来人家喻户晓的菜肴-香炸豆腐,这香辣美味的花生酱得来不易,是我们不断试味才调制而成.炸得香脆的豆腐,配上爽口清脆的黄瓜和豆芽佐料,再淋上多多的花生酱,非常好吃哟! 和外面售卖的有过之而无不及噢!

这些就是我们星期天享用的丰富晚餐咯!谢谢auntie Irene 的教导和分享!

I like the way you describe the buah keluak, everyone has a different discription, but you have written it so well, one can imagine the taste of the buah keluak. But it was indeed a very troublesome dish, you have to soak it for 3 days, hammper the shell opening, stuff back etc, by then you may not feel like eating it lor.

I like the creme burlee more then the cheess souffle. I think is becoz I like egg tart, that why i prefer the creme burlee. I now sort of know it, but must asked Aunty Irene to demonstrate it one more time. hahaah. coz that day too many people liao I cannot absorb, I slow learner. hee hee....

thanks for your compliment, hahaha...actually nobody can really describe the unique taste of buah keluak, so I listened and noted everyone's comment for the benefit of those who hasn't tried it to imagine the taste of buah keluak. I heard that the preparation of buah keluak is rather time consuming, Nicole is the one who help with the cutting, digging and stuffings, think she will apprehen the feeling more than me in this respect...

U like creme brulee, so does auntie Irene. Me and Nicole prefer the cheess souffle to creme brulee. anyway, to each his own, like for Joanne she prefers the chocolate soffles... auntie Irene has said that she will demonstrate it one more time for you and Eileen one day as she also left early that day. don't say u are slow learner, u just want to learn it slowly...hee hee....there's a saying: slow and steady win the race...
