here are some of the photographs taken during yesteray's NDP Preview...see whether u can spot how many parachuters, the flying big Singapore flag, the helicopters, the parade march in from Suntec ...the pictures were taken from 51st storey of Swisstel The Stamford hotel. Our family booked 2 rooms, joined by niece, nephews + their friends as we wanted to have an arial view of the whole performance which covers air, land & sea this year at the new Marina promenade site. Pardon me for the poor quality images as I didn't use a superb camera to take those pictures from afar, and the weather is not doing me a favour either - it's rather misty after the afternoon downpour. Just wanted to share the excitements while watching, enjoy....

I enjoyed the NDP preview very much, suddenly felt so proud to be a Singaporean, and enjoyed singing the songs. I have oso taken some pic using my hp, will try to post later cos my laptop is having some problems.

yeah, u need to be there to feel it, one gets very touched and the feeling is immersely different as compared to watching it from TV telecast. Singaporean will feel very proud and non-Singaporean will also be touched. I've watched a few times of the NDP preview & actual day perforamnces at the National Stadium (used to have tickets when my brother was a Airforce regular).
I think last Saturday's fireworks weren't very brilliant, probably due to the air climate or humidity, the smoke given up by the multi fireworks could diffuse quickly, so it ended up very smoky up there and blocked the view of subsequent fireworks display. It's really a pity...I wonder whether the audidene can see a better fireworks from where they seat..
Nicole, if u have a chance next time, should go and 感受现场气氛, it's really very nice.

We can see the fireworks very clearly at the seat, show u a short video clip of it when we meet.

aiya, just spotted couple of careless mistakes in my previous last comment. Should have read as:

- I wonder whether the audidene can see a better fireworks from where they were seated..

yeah, I know that, particularly if we are so eagar to send out messages in the quickest possible time, very often we didn't have the patience or sometimes simply because we are too confidence of one's work & didn't bother to check & read again). However if I found the glaring mistakes myself, particularly omission of important word like NOT, I rather correct it before someone got confused or pointed it out to me, hahaha.
See, now I spotted yet another typo error - AUDIENCE, hahaha. (I must really read very carefully next time.)
